CHICAGO, IL, (November 9, 2016) — Penn Foster, a leading skills solutions organization focused on providing competencies, credentials, career pathways and employment matching for today's evolving workforce, today announced its participation in the annual CAEL (Council for Adult and Experiential Learning) International conference, held November 9-11, 2016 in Chicago. Penn Foster will both sponsor and attend the conference in support of CAEL's mission and focus on education/workforce issues.
The annual CAEL conference brings together more than 500 participants to learn, network, and work together to make lifelong learning accessible to adults around the world. The 2016 conference theme, "Partners in Progress: Unite to Educate America's Workforce," examines partnerships among universities and colleges, corporations, government, non-profit organizations, and workforce developers. Attendees will learn how these entities can work together to help adults thrive in their educational aspirations and flourish in their careers.
Both Penn Foster and CAEL have established partnerships with postsecondary institutions, employers, for-purpose organizations, and communities to expand opportunities for learning, employability and career success for adult learners.
"Penn Foster is enthusiastic to have a presence at this important conference," said Kevin Bauman, Managing Director, Strategic Partnerships & Alliances, Penn Foster Education Group. "Not only is CAEL a leader in the adult education world, but this year's 'workforce' theme is incredibly relevant to our shared mission of partnering with a diverse set of organizations to create opportunities to help set individuals up for success as they enter into or progress in the working world."
Attendees include college faculty and administrators, HR professionals, workforce developers and representatives from labor and government.
