The High School Diploma + English Language Training Program combines Penn Foster’s regionally and nationally accredited core high school curriculum with EnGen’s adaptive language learning training application to give English learners the ability to earn their diploma and simultaneously improve their English-language skills. Designed to meet learners where they are based on their English-language proficiency, this integration provides learners with personalized language lessons relevant to their academic and career goals.

Our High School plus English Language Training Program is online and self-paced, so you can graduate quickly and work around your busy schedule. We’ve proudly partnered with EnGen, an interactive language program, to help set you up for success and customize your language studies to your current skill level. Your EnGen learning platform will be in Spanish and includes bilingual instructor support- so you can feel confident at every step in your journey. Once you’ve improved your English speaking, reading, and writing skills, you’ll begin your high school coursework at Penn Foster. You’ll be able to go back to the EnGen platform at any time in your studies and continue to strengthen your English abilities as you progress toward your diploma. Penn Foster’s high school diploma classes cover standard subjects like math and American history, and include elective courses of your choice, with options like Auto Repair and Healthcare training to help you prepare for your career or college goals. In addition to the EnGen English language training, our online high school diploma curriculum is a total of 21 credits*, including your basic general education requirements, like English and math courses. Penn Foster High School students also get to choose 5 elective credits, ranging from academic electives like American literature and algebra, to career electives, like pharmacy technician, residential electrician, or vet assistant. The course curriculum covers:
- 9th -12th grade English, math, science, and history
